The “T” in LGBT, has often been the unheard and unseen minority in the workplace. By publicly recognizing that Transgender people are subject to prejudices and subtle or not-so-subtle discrimination in the workplace, Workplace Pride Foundation hopes to raise awareness about this issues and ensure that the Transgender voice is heard.
Within Workplace Pride a special Task Force has been established with this very goal in mind. Its objective is to work with other, similar groups and to establish robust programs that address the ‘invisibility’ of transgender people. These programs will benefit both Workplace Pride and its activities as well as the international business community by demonstrating the special talents that Transgender people have and highlighting what they can bring to the table.
