18-02-2013: Individual Members in the spotlight

Upcoming EVENTS

Changing workplace prompts focus on individuals

In today’s challenging economy, long-term job security is becoming a thing of the past. LGBT people in the workplace who may have benefited from the LGBT diversity and inclusion policies of large employers often now find themselves between jobs or having to re-orient themselves to make the best out of their new reality.

LGBT people in the workplace who are out of work face added challenges such as:

  • AGAIN having to come out to a new employer: “Should I or shouldn’t I?”
  • Setting yourself up as an LGBT entrepreneur (ZZPer): “Should I be out to potential clients and/or suppliers?”
  • Needing to maintain that ever vital network of contacts: “My old job was my lifeline to my network, what do I do now?”

In view of this changing dynamic, Workplace Pride is reinvigorating its individual membership program. Individual Workplace Pride members have access to not only many other people who are in the same position as themselves, but also to the many employers and employees of large organizations (and their networks) which continue to be the main focus of the Foundation.

For an annual fee of € 100,- ,Workplace Pride Individual Members are entitled to one free registration to the annual Workplace Pride Conference and participation in selected events, such as the annual New Year’s Reception, the annual members meeting, and our monthly drinks.

To register as a Workplace Pride Individual Member, please send your name, email, organization (if applicable) to paula@workplacepride.org.
