04-10-2011: KLM Joins CPP

Today, Royal Dutch Airlines, KLM became the 20th official Member of the Company Pride Platform Foundation. This is an important milestone for the both the CPP and KLM.  It represents the foundation's first airline Member and is KLM's first external effort for its LGBT employee network, "Over the Rainbow". 

"We are pleased to have KLM join the ever-growing family of organizations that recognize the value of working closely with the LGBT Community; both for their employees and their clients" said David Pollard, Executive Director of the CPP. Pollard signed the Membership contract today along with Mr. Wim Kooijman, Executive Vice President Human Resources & Industrial Relations of KLM, at KLM's head office in Amstelveen, just south of Amsterdam. 

Warner van der Veer-Jehee, Head of KLM's LGBT Network "Over the Rainbow" said:  "we have been working long and hard to reach this important moment and we are confident that both KLM and its employees will find the value in being more active within the LGBT business community through our Membership in the CPP".
